In 1942, CBS produced a series of six 15-minute programs that were broadcast from Army camps around the country.
Each episode of What Are We Fighting For? contains a remarkable speech; my favorite is Alvin C. York's:
01 The Road To War - Edward R. Murrow at West Point, New York
02 What Pearl Harbor Means To Me - Lee White at Ft. George Meade, Maryland
03 Your Enemies, The Fascists - William L. Shirer at Fort Belvoir, Virginia (no open nor close)
04 The Russians Are Our Kind Of People - Quentin Reynolds at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey
05 What We Fight For - Herbert Agar at Mitchell Field, New York
06 Sergeant Alvin C. York at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana
Any typo or error is mine. :)
